Medal of Honor Wreath Layings at Punchbowl in Hawaii

The Department of Defense 60th Anniversary of the Korean War Commemoration Committee (KW60) honored Medal of Honor recipients of the Korean War with indiviual wreath layings at Punchbowl.  The Medal of Honor gravesites included Herbert Pililaau (Section P, Grave #127), Benjamin F. Wilson (Section A, Grave #1060-A), and LeRoy A. Mendonca (Section Q, Grave 1408).  A wreath was also laid at the section of the Uknowns (Section U), there are more than 860 uknown veterans of the Korean War buried at Punchbowl.  COL David J. Clark, Executive Director of KW60 provided remarks to the family members and those attending to honor all of the veterans.  TAPS was played at the end of the remarks and all those who attended walked to each gravsite to participate in a moment of silence while a wreath was laid.
